What will the Weekly Challanges entail?

The Earth Element
The Earth element is often associated with stability, grounding, and rootedness. It represents a sense of connection to the physical world and a strong foundation for spiritual growth. Incorporating the Earth element into yoga practice might involve poses that emphasize stability, balance, and connection to the ground. These poses can help practitioners feel more grounded and centred. Here are two short practices you might want to try :-
Chakras are energy centres within the body, according to certain Eastern spiritual traditions. The Earth element is commonly associated with the lower chakras, particularly the Root Chakra (Muladhara) and the Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana). The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is connected to feelings of safety, security, and groundedness. It's often symbolized by the color red and is related to the element of Earth.
The Sacral Chakra, located in the pelvic area, is associated with creativity, sensuality, and emotional well-being. While the Sacral Chakra is often linked to the element of Water due to its fluid and emotional nature, there can also be connections to the Earth element through its grounding influence on emotions and creativity.
The Earth element is associated with the Spleen and Stomach meridians in TCM. The Spleen meridian is linked to digestion, nourishment, and transformation of both physical and emotional aspects. The Stomach meridian is related to digestion and assimilation, both on a physical and mental level.
Balancing the Earth element in the context of meridians involves practices and treatments that support healthy digestion, emotional stability, and the nurturing of oneself and others.
When they are in balance, the body's overall health and energy flow smoothly. When they are out of balance, it can lead to various physical and emotional symptoms.
Stomach Meridian:
In Balance: When the stomach meridian is in balance, a person will experience good digestion, a healthy appetite, and a sense of emotional stability. They will have proper energy levels and the ability to feel nourished by the food they eat. Emotionally, they will be able to process and digest experiences effectively without being overwhelmed.
Out of Balance: An imbalance in the stomach meridian may manifest as digestive issues, such as bloating, indigestion, or acid reflux. Emotionally, a person may feel anxious, worried, or have difficulty letting go of negative emotions. They may also experience an increased appetite or a lack of appetite.
Spleen Meridian:
In Balance: When the spleen meridian is in balance, it supports the digestive system, maintains a healthy immune system, and provides a sense of grounding and stability. A person with a balanced spleen meridian will have good digestion, a strong immune response, and a clear, focused mind.
Out of Balance: An imbalance in the spleen meridian can lead to digestive issues, such as poor appetite, bloating, or loose stools. The immune system may weaken, making the person more susceptible to infections. Emotionally, they may experience overthinking, worry, and a lack of mental clarity.

Week One Challenge Options
1. Select one or all of them and get cracking! I am looking forward to hearing how you get on?!
Put together and start doing a daily 15 minute routine.
2. Add a daily Spleen/Stomach meditation.
3. Brush your teeth in the tree posture. Obviously with your hands supporting you on the sink if needed. You can always do it with your eyes closed if thats a breeze.
4. Finally awaken the energy in your hands. Each finger has either a start point for an end point for a meridian. A daily short massage can work wonders ...for our self compassion work…. and you may notice over a period of time notice how much loser your shoulders feel! Enjoy x
