In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the lung and large intestine meridians are part of the Metal element, and when they are out of balance, it can manifest in various physical, mental, and emotional signs. When these meridians are in balance, it is believed to promote overall health and well-being. Here are some common signs associated with both imbalances and balance:
Signs of Imbalance:
Physical Signs:
Respiratory issues such as coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath may indicate a lung meridian imbalance.
Digestive problems like constipation, diarrhea, or abdominal discomfort can be signs of a large intestine meridian imbalance.
Mental and Emotional Signs:
Grief and sadness, or the inability to process and release these emotions, are often associated with an imbalance in the lung meridian.
Feelings of being stuck, difficulty letting go, or holding onto grudges may indicate an imbalance in the large intestine meridian.
Signs of Balance:
Physical Signs:
Smooth and regular breathing, free of respiratory issues, suggests a balanced lung meridian.
Healthy digestion and regular bowel movements are signs of balance in the large intestine meridian.
Mental and Emotional Signs:
Emotional resilience, the ability to process grief and sadness in a healthy way, and a sense of emotional clarity are signs of a balanced lung meridian.
Letting go of emotional baggage, feeling mentally clear, and the ability to adapt to change and release attachments are signs of balance in the large intestine meridian.
